- Go soak your hands in warm or hot water. The heat on your hands will increase the blood flow there, while decreasing the blood flow to the head, which help reduce or eliminate the pain. Alternatively,
- Grab your handy dandy ice pack out of the freezer, wrap it in a towel and place it on your forehead, your temples or the back of your neck. Where ever you have the headache at is where it will feel the best. Doing this constricts the blood vessels in that area, which in turn decreases the blood flow and reduces pain.
