I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty much done with the whole WGA strike. I was supportive in the beginning, but you know, it’s continuing on and on and now it’s really beginning to affect my TV schedule (and especially my Thursday night).
Instead of new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, CSI and Without a Trace I watched The Quick and the Dead with Sharon Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gene Hackman and Russell Crowe. Although I enjoyed it and remembered how good a movie it is, it WAS NOT a new episode of my favourite show. Know what I mean?
Most show seasons are comprised of X number of episodes. If this strike continues on for much longer they’ll have two choices when it’s over; the season will be short and with less episodes to sell, the shows will lose money OR the season will go into the summer months and that sucks because they’ll lose viewership and they’ll lose money. Less money for the show means less budget. Less budget means less to give the writers… hmm.
